Hana Fukin Sashiko Cloth
$12.00
This sashiko panel makes a hana fukin, or kitchen cloth, and is a great project for beginner and advanced-beginner stitchers! The fabric is printed with two motifs, each is 12" X 12".
Those seeking more challenge can stitch the entire printed area, while beginners might choose to stitch an area to create a border, a central motif, some other part of the pattern. Suggestions for this are shown on the front of the instructions.
Use the stitched panel as a kitchen towel, or make it an element of a quilt, bag, pillow, etc.
Supplies included are:
- Cotton fabric printed with the design in washout ink.
- Instructions in English
To complete the panel, you will need :
- 1 skein of sashiko thread like these variegated ones, or these solid ones.
- Sashiko needles (or an embroidery needle works fine if you already have one).
