Sashiko stiching is fun, easy to learn, and additive. This Shinzi Katoh sampler is especially so.
This sampler cloth is 100% cotton and can be used as a table napkin, placemat, or wrapping cloth. It can also be sewn into a cushion and stuffed, or used as a panel on a bag. They wash very well and become soft and absorbent.
Kit includes:
- Pre-printed sashiko cloth
- Thread bundle
- Sashiko needle
Please note it only has Japanese instructions. However the images are very detailed and easy to follow. But my special trick is to simply read the instruction using Google translate on my phone. It uses your camera to view the instructions and magically shows it on your screen in English, or whatever other language you prefer!
