Dye your own bandanas and cotton tenugui tea towels!
This kit includes all you need to enjoy shibori (tie-dye) and indigo dye at home. 10g of Yamato Indigo Dye will make a small vat that is easy to handle at home. Use the enclosed wood sticks and rubber bands to apply shibori patterns on whites, then dip them into the indigo!
Great for beginners and a perfect gift for craft lovers.
The kit includes:
- 10g of Yamato Indigo Dye
- 2x white cotton bandana -- 19.7" x 19.7" (50 x 50cm), 100% cotton
- 2x white tenugui, Japanese tea towel or multi-purpose cloth -- 13.8" x 35" (35 x 90cm), 100% cotton
- Shibori tools
- Pair of rubber gloves
- 60ml of 30% pure vinegar
- Instruction sheet
- Packaged in traditional “komebukuro” (rice bag)
The kit works best with cotton and linen fabric (not recommended for silk or wool). The binder works only with Yamato Indigo, not with other kinds of indigo or fabric dye.
