Persimmon Tannin-Dyed Cotton Kasuri – Ryukyu-Style Motif

A beautifully textured Japanese cotton fabric inspired by traditional Ryukyu weaving and kasuri design. Dyed in a warm persimmon-tannin brown with softly blurred ivory motifs, this cloth has a grounded, earthy feel that pairs especially well with natural interiors and slow-made garments.

Woven from medium-lightweight cotton with a softly structured hand, this fabric would work well for jackets, overshirts, aprons, cushions, table linens, noren, bags, and other projects where the texture and pattern can take center stage. The subtle irregularity of the motifs gives the cloth the feeling of handwoven kasuri textiles while remaining versatile and easy to sew.

Sold by the 1/2 yard. Add 1 unit for ½ yard, 3 units for 1½ yards, and so on. Your fabric will be sent as one continuous cut.
