Japanese Wool Stripe -1/2 Vintage yd - Navy
Textural and timeless, this 100% wool fabric was once used for everyday garments like monpe pants and haori jackets. This fabric carries a legacy of quiet practicality and subtle beauty. Whether you're sewing, quilting, or crafting, its soft-yet-sturdy hand makes it a joy to work with.
Wool fabrics like this were often chosen for their durability, warmth, and natural breathability. Though vintage, this yardage has been beautifully preserved as deadstock, showing only minor signs of age. The hand is supple and soft—not scratchy—ideal for visible mending, or home projects that benefit from a bit of rustic charm.

Care Instructions:
Spot clean when possible. For deeper cleaning, hand wash separately in cool water using a wool-safe detergent. Gently squeeze (do not wring), then roll in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry. Iron on medium heat with steam. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning, as it may disturb the vintage texture or dyes.
Note: Indigo and dark blue dyes may bleed. Pre-wash before use and avoid combining with lighter fabrics until bleeding stops.
