Designed to give broken ceramics a second life, this kit offers a thoughtful, hands-on introduction to the Japanese art of kintsugi. Rather than hiding damage, kintsugi highlights it—honoring repair, care, and continuity through visible seams of gold.

Well suited for both beginners and experienced makers, each kit includes enough materials for 3–4 complete repairs. The process is approachable, clearly guided, and deeply satisfying—one many customers return to again and again. A meaningful way to mend cherished objects and slow down into repair as a creative practice.

What’s Included

Each kit contains materials for up to four repairs, thoughtfully packaged in a reusable canvas pouch:

  • High-grade epoxy glue (17 ml) in aluminum tubes (glue + hardener)
  • Premium non-toxic gold color powder (3 g)
  • Wooden craft brush for precise application
  • Bamboo mixing sticks
  • Recycled palm leaf mixing tray
  • Latex-free, powder-free gloves
  • Illustrated, step-by-step instructions
  • Canvas storage pouch

Kintsugi, Step by Step

Once you have your kit, the process unfolds simply:

  1. Choose a broken object—plates, mugs, or small vases are ideal for a first repair.
  2. Mix the epoxy and gold powder on the tray using the bamboo sticks.
  3. Dry-fit the pieces so you know how they align.
  4. Apply the adhesive carefully (it sets quickly).
  5. Add a final dusting of gold as the glue begins to cure.
  6. Allow to dry for 48 hours. Your piece is ready.

Materials This Kit Works With

The high-grade epoxy adhesive is suitable for a wide range of materials, including porcelain, ceramics, glass, terracotta, jewelry, wood, hard plastics

Food Safety Notes

The epoxy adhesive is heat resistant up to 212°F (100°C). For this reason, repaired items are not food safe for:

  • Dishwashers
  • Microwaves
  • Pouring very hot liquids directly into vessels

Repaired pieces are best enjoyed as decorative or gently used objects.

Imperfections show progress—and kintsugi teaches us to honor that progress, even in the objects we live with every day.
