Antique Wooden Spool from French Silk Mill – 8"

This beautifully-crafted antique wooden spool comes from the historic silk-weaving industry of Lyon, France. Dating to the Art Deco period, it was originally used in textile production at Soierie Lyonnaise.

What makes this spool particularly special is its exceptional condition. The wood has a beautifully smooth, polished finish that feels almost soft to the touch. Its simple, functional shape and fine craftsmanship make it a lovely example of an everyday tool made to last.
