Antique Wooden Game Pieces circa 1920s

We grabbed this cheery ephemera before we knew what it was.

I just couldn't resist hand-painted antique wooden game pieces. In fact, I'm still not sure what they were originally used for. Possibly tabletop skittle? But I know what I'm using mine for now -- wrapping it with thread.

They wood is in excellent condition though some of the paint is faded - which is one of my favorite things about them:-)
