Botanically-Dyed Panel – Indigo Iris Garden
A striking decorative panel featuring two large Japanese iris groupings printed on a soft lavender ground. Created by Japanese textile artist and natural dyer Sakato Kyoko, this textile combines botanical dyeing, hand-applied imagery, and richly textured surface.
The matte surface has a visible slub texture similar to fine pongee or tsumugi silk, giving it a natural hand and subtle depth. Two large iris motifs are arranged across the panel, leaving generous open space around the design so the fabric can be used as a complete composition. The layered indigo tones of the flowers contrast beautifully against the lavender background.
Ideal for textile art, wall hangings, pillows, bags, garment backs, or other projects where the full motif can be appreciated.
