A rare find for both makers and collectors—these deadstock 240mm (9.5") Japanese sewing shears have never been used and come in their original box, beautifully preserved from decades past. 

These shears are instantly recognizable by their classic contrast: black enamel handles and polished silver blades, with a "kin" (金) marking stamped near the pivot—a nod to traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Every part of these scissors speaks to intentional design, from the crisp blades to the subtle weight that makes them feel grounded and balanced in the hand.

Made of high-carbon steel, the blades were designed for precision cutting—sharpened to a factory edge that’s never touched fabric. The handles retain their full enamel finish, unmarred by wear or age. Carbon steel care tip: To protect the blades from rust, apply a thin layer of camellia or sewing machine oil a few times a year and wipe clean.
