Hand-Dyed Indigo & Green Brushwork on Black Silk

$32.00 Sale Save

An extraordinary Japanese silk featuring hand-painted indigo dye work in layered blues and greens across a deep charcoal-black ground. The painterly vertical brushstrokes create a dramatic, almost abstract landscape effect with remarkable movement and depth.

Originally produced for designer or commercial use, this deadstock silk is rarely seen outside professional textile circles. The wide width and fluid drape make it especially well suited for statement garments, scarves, soft jackets, installation work, theatrical sewing, and one-of-a-kind textile art pieces.

The contrast between the dark sumi-black base and luminous indigo dye gives the fabric a quietly atmospheric quality that feels both modern and deeply rooted in traditional Japanese dye practices.

Sold by the 1/2 yard. Add 1 unit for ½ yard, 3 units for 1½ yards, and so on. Your fabric will be sent as one continuous cut.
