Each threader is wrapped in a different traditional cotton textile—Awa Shijira-Ori, Bingo Fushi-Ori, and Matsuzaka-Momen. From the delicate puckered texture of shijira cloth to the rustic character of slubbed cotton and the deep blues of traditional indigo dyeing, each has its own distinctive personality. The softly rounded, fan-shaped design feels comfortable between your fingers, making the sometimes-fiddly task of threading a needle a little more enjoyable.

There's a wonderful story behind each of these tiny tools:

• Awa Shijira-Ori (Tokushima): A traditional cotton fabric known for its distinctive crinkled shibo texture. Woven by Nagao Textile, a mill established in 1897, this lightweight cloth reflects the region's long history of indigo dyeing and weaving.

• Bingo Fushi-Ori (Hiroshima): Inspired by the region's traditional Bingo Kasuri textiles, this fabric features softly textured, slubbed yarns that give it the warm, irregular character of handwoven cloth.

• Matsuzaka-Momen (Mie): A traditional cotton textile with a long history of indigo dyeing. Its characteristic blue tones and understated woven patterns reflect generations of Japanese textile craftsmanship.
