Imperfect Okayama Ibara Indigo Selvedge Denim 12 oz
A classic 12 oz Japanese selvedge denim from Ibara, Okayama—offered at a special price due to minor weaving irregularities
Sold in ½-yard increments; multiple units will be cut as one continuous piece.
This is a remnant bolt with subtle imperfections in a few areas. The irregularities are small—difficult for us to even locate—and do not affect the overall integrity or strength of the fabric. Quantity is limited and cannot be reordered.
Woven in Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture—one of Japan’s most respected denim-producing regions—this fabric reflects the precision and heritage of traditional shuttle-loom production. The selvedge edge is clean and classic, and the deep navy indigo tone offers the timeless look associated with Japanese denim.
At 12 oz, this is a versatile, midweight denim: substantial enough for structured garments, yet comfortable enough for everyday wear. It softens with use and develops character over time.
