Plant-Dyed Plain Weave Silk - Bordeaux Brown
This Japanese plain weave fabric has a rich, earthy bordeaux-brown color with subtle variations in tone that give the surface depth and character. The plant-dyed finish creates a warm, understated appearance, while the tightly woven construction gives the fabric a substantial yet soft hand.
The fabric has a smooth, silk-like feel with a gentle sheen. Despite its softness, it has enough body for structured garments and is opaque enough to use without a lining for many projects.
An excellent choice for jackets, trousers, skirts, dresses, and tailored separates. It would also work beautifully for bags, cushions, and other home sewing projects where a smooth surface and substantial feel are desirable.
This unused fabric comes from a previously stored collection of Japanese textiles produced for the Japanese market.
Sold by the 1/2 yard. Add 1 unit for 1/2 yard, 2 units for 1 yard, 3 units for 1 1/2 yards, and so on. Multiple units will be cut as one continuous piece.
