A true heavyweight Japanese selvedge canvas—woven on shuttle looms in Kojima, Okayama—and available in extremely limited quantity
Sold in ½-yard increments; multiple units will be cut as one continuous piece.
This is a rare custom weave originally produced for a high-end fashion house. This is an overrun from that special order—and once it’s gone, it cannot be reordered.
Woven in Kurashiki (Kojima), Okayama Prefecture, this No. 7 canvas is a substantial 18 oz, 100% cotton fabric made on traditional shuttle looms. The result is a dense, tightly woven cloth with authentic red selvedge edges and exceptional structural integrity. The narrow width (approx. 53 cm / 20.8") reflects its old-loom heritage.
This is canvas with presence—firm, weighty, and built for work.
