Indigo-Dyed Plain Weave Cotton
A beautifully saturated indigo-dyed cotton woven in Japan and created under the direction of indigo artist and clothing designer Sakato Kyoko. This deadstock fabric has been carefully stored for many years and reflects a deep commitment to traditional Japanese craftsmanship and domestic production.
The cloth has a smooth plain weave with a soft but sturdy hand, making it well suited for garments, noren curtains, home textiles, bags, patchwork, and other sewing projects where you want the richness of true indigo blue to shine.
As deadstock yardage, this fabric is no longer in production. We’re especially happy to see it used and appreciated rather than left in storage.
Sold by the 1/2 yard. Add 1 unit for ½ yard, 3 units for 1½ yards, and so on. Your fabric will be sent as one continuous cut.
